Driving at Night by Paul Howlett

Driving at Night   by Paul Howlett

Homeward bound for daylights’ coming
Drive all night the stars are calling
Find the way through rain and fog
Find the way through mud and bog
Drive as fast as you dare
Large trucks are always looming
Ever nearer and to snare
You and your mighty motor
Bared and naked in their lights
Breathing down your exhaust pipe
Thundering past you at high speed
Frightening you with all their need
To be on time, to be there sooner
The traveling night trucks, today
Make for danger make for death
As they travel too fast, I say
In their all commercial quest!!
